Headlands International Dark Sky Park

If you want to see something different and full of magic then there is a place in Mackinaw city that you must visit and it is called Headlands International Dark Sky Park . I came from Australia to the UK to see the magical places and I reach here and now the magic is all around. I have been to many places that I called wonderlands as I am a traveler and my mission is to explore all the magical places of this world. My friend told me about Headlands International Dark Sky Park and after listening to her visit stories and seeing the pictures on the internet I could not resist myself back from going there. I reached here two days ago and do not want to leave this place.

I came here through a cab that is also included in the list of my magical things. company cab that I booked to come to my hotel from Stansted airport to Mackinaw was a wonderful experience. I really liked this service and I used it for my travel in the previous two days and will definitely use it again. The cab fare was good enough and for travelers like me, it is worth it. The first time I used it was when I came to Mackinaw city and from then I used it 4 times till now. I had been to Headlands International Dark Sky Park at night as the beauty to see this scenery is at night just its name showing that you are going to see some magic in the sky at night when it's dark.

The lower peninsula of Michigan, where the channel of Mackinac meets the Great Lake, the Michigan Lake. The darkest of skies can be found here, unpolluted by light pollution and preserved. There are specific plotted areas from where you can see the sky clearly without any hurdle of the trees in vision and without any artificial light interference. You will the dark sky full of bright stars. In August you can see the meteor shower and shooting stars very closely and clearly. You can also see the Saggitarious and Scorpian star's constellations. There are many events that are organized by the government and some private ones.

There is an event called A day in a life of Dark Sky Park where there are bonfires, storytellings, and telescopes for the newcomer to correctly gain information about this place. This event is always held on 21 of June when the longest day of the year arrives and I have attended this event yesterday. Luckily I got a chance to attend this event otherwise I had never heard about this event.

I had seen the stars from a telescope and I got stunned by the beauty of the sky. From the bottom of the earth, the sky looks like the colored stones spread on a dark black shawl but from the telescope, this scene changes and the stars are clearly visible. It gives you a feeling that how big and beautiful and full of magic this Universe is.
